So, Kokopellis are not unique to Arizona, and Colorado has there own unique version. I believe their verions means great biking trails around the Colorado River.
Our first ride after being the truck for 9 hours was at the Kokopelli Park, and took advantage of Mary's Loop, Horse Thief Trail and some of Lions Back. These are incredible trails to ride after being shut in for so long, and get the legs ready for whats to come. I forget how grand the scenery is when riding the mesa ridge around the river, and often am rubbernecking instead of watching the trail ahead. The sunsetting cut our ride short, and weren't able to the Moore Fun...which is anything but. Well, maybe we will save that for when Greg re-joins Mancation in a few years.
As is customary, we ended the ride with a trip over to Hot Tomato for a little Thai Me Up pizza. This place is seriously one of the best pizza places in the world, and hate that is about 10hours away from me. However, when in Fruita I try to overcompensate through gluttony.
Can't edit the videos while on the road, and will update the blog soon after we return.
